and Services The Group is principally involved in the manufacture
of high precision engineering mainly for the semiconductor industry. Precision
tools manufactured by the IEGB Group can achieve an accuracy of ± 2 micron
to ± 5 micron on precision parts with complex geometries. IEGB Group's
products and services are categorized as follows:- (i)
Precision Tooling and Parts
Precision tools and parts are the
precision components that form portion(s) or section(s) of completed precision
machining modules, which require replacement from damage or wear and tear. (ii)
Degate Tools
Degate tools are precision stamping tools designed
to remove mould gate and runners after the moulding process. A degate tool is
the assembly of many precision parts, which includes punches and cutting inserts.
These precision parts require replacement from damage or wear and tear. (iii)
Ultra Precision and Precision Pins and Punches Ultra
precision pins and punches are mainly used in stamping, IC moulding or plastic
injection moulding processes. The pins can achieve the smallest diameter of 50
micron with accuracy of ± 1 micron and the punches thickness of 180 micron
with accuracy of ± 2 micron. The precision pins and
punches are designed and affixed on mould and die sets to stamp, trim, shape and
bend lead frames according to predefined specifications. (iv)
Die, Die Inserts and Die Sets
A die and die insert
works in union commonly used in the stamping process to shape, trim and bend precision
metal parts. A die usually consists of steel or carbide block with custom designed
high precision profile or contour to hold a desired shape of a metal piece or
semi-finishes product to further trim, bend or shape into the desired design. A
die set is the construction of fabricated high precision metal tools, parts and
components to form an integrated working unit used for precision stamping, cutting
or bending. In a typical semiconductor setup, several custom designed die sets
are used in the stamping, trimming, shaping and bending of IC and metal parts
in the manufacturing processes in the semiconductor and microelectronics industries. (v)
Jigs and Fixtures
Jigs and fixtures are specially designed
production tools. They generally consist of work piece clamping accessories, machine
parts or working attachments to these working machines. jig is a device, which
holds and positions the work piece, locates and guides the cutting tool to cut
and shape a work piece. Fixture is a work holding device and assists the jig by
holding and positioning the work piece. These parts are subject to the wear and
tear process and due to continuous use need to be replaced periodically. As they
are specialized parts, they are not readily available and need to be fabricated
specifically. Proposed products and
